Welcome to all not wanting to vote, not able to vote or just annoyed by the US presidential election taking over Lemmy and other social media.
Coming here to argue about voting will result in a ban.
Be kind to each other & follow the server rules.
Be specifically aware that not everyone here is from the so called USA.

I actually like the take from Shaun, but the comments here are just not what I envision this community to be. I missed the post when it was posted and all the comments happen, but this is just not the place for that. Let me make a quick list of things that I don't think have place here or from my point of view break the server rules:
Not going to to any mod actions here, but I am tagging you all so you actually see this reply. Please try reflect on the thing I mentioned and if you have any questions, please ask here or via pm. @mambabasa@slrpnk.net @tron@midwest.social @glimse@lemmy.world
Also OP I think the format of multiple screenshots with sometimes hard to understand references is not that easy to engage with, especially for folks who need to safe bandwidth or just cant see (good enough). Using a more text based approach and image descriptions might make this more accessible.
It's not ageist. It's maturity...ist. Using "Hitler" as a catch-all insult is immature as fuck. And acting like Biden is only 1% better than Trump is stupid as fuck.
Hyperbole destroys good points and has no business here. Maybe start your list with that one instead of reactions to the hyperbole.
Like do you want to talk about why I view comment as ageist or do you want to talk about the way someone argues with hyperboles?
I am open to the first one. The second point is not something I care about because its not my business as a mod if anyone destroys their good points by using hyperboles.
I don't really want to talk about either, really. Neither of us are going to convince the other so I'd rather agree to disagree and save us both the negativity
I'll try to be more charitable in the future.
