I really need to get back to doing this.

I have my moments, but generally when I go to bed I'm not sleepy enough. Just need to push through on the couch before going to bed I guess.

I have been trying to go to bed at roughly the same time each night, regardless of how tired/sleepy I feel.

I have found that it actually does help with getting to sleep: even if I think I'm not tired when I go to bed, I actually fall asleep quite quickly.

My struggle is with falling asleep when only mildly sleepy. One little mental jolt and I'm awake again.

Generally I'm in bed between 11-11:30 but some days that gets pushed out past midnight.

This is exactly it. I toss and turn and can't settle my brain even if I'm physically tired. Like I need to be numbed. I could at least try a book and not be on my phone.

I chalked it up to living an alarmingly sedentary life but it seems like that's not all.
