As an American-Brit who has been living in Sweden for a couple of years, I've always found it interesting that pretty much everyone I know here can be found at their home address simply by googling their name and clicking on hitta.se. When I show this to my British or American friends, they're always shocked, and I find myself explaining that "Swedes have a very different, more trusting, relationship with their government than Brits or Americans."
Personally, I've never had a problem arise from this, and neither has anyone I know here, but I've been here less than for two years. I love it here and I can see myself living here for the rest of my life (that is, if you'll have me! Soon time to renew my visa!)
But I find myself wondering: Has anyone here, or anyone you know, ever had a problem arise from their address being listed publicly? Strange people turning up at your door, weird post or packages, or something worse?

Easy to downvote, hard to argue facts.

Well, the question was asked if you have had any problems with it or anyone you know (in person implied). So maybe try and answer the question instead of stating facts, as you say, without any source.

He’s right about the issue regarding how criminals use it to locate people. I have personal experience with this, and it was fucking awful. Or take stalkers for example.
In my opinion the biggest problem with it, is how hard it is to legally hide it. If that was easier, the list of potential problems would decrease.

Yes awful... don't specify anything...
Your name, whare you live and your income is already public info, it's info you tell people in smalltalk, it's info any stranger can see with their eyes just standing near your hose or work, it's info your friends talkabout with other people.

I can’t go into details about it unfortunately.
The point is that I can CHOOSE to be open about it to people, but I can’t really choose it being public online

But.. you literally can't choose to be open or not about it to people near you. Unless you live in the forrest with high walls around and never leave. And even then u can guess your income based on the appearance of the house and I can see the house so I know where you live...
