Has anything good ever come out of SpaceX? Despite all his other stupidities, I'm under the impression, mainly from reading ars (technica), that this endeavor of his maybe isn't so bad🚀. Actually, if he had just kept his mouth shut I might still think that he wasn't such a bad guy.
Although I have no proof, my intuition tells me that he purposefully says controversial things in order to remain in the news cycle. Heck, he may not even be the person that he pretends to be.
The Twitter fiasco is undeniable proof that he's just an idiot. That much fuckup, commercial, takeover, company, and policy fuckup can't be intentional or "to stay in the news".
@Kissaki @admin no, it is 4D chess you see. Same as putin, or trump.
Does it matter if he says those things honestly, or cynically to stay in the news cycle? An "ironic" alt-right creep is still an alt-right creep. The response should also be the same regardless: ignore the dweeb.
People can believe whatever they want to believe about him. I'm more interested in what he does rather than what he says.
Since he's not an engineer, but a manager, what he does is what he says. When he says workers are expected to work on weekends, that he will fire half of twitter because they don't add value or that trans people are just sick, this has a real effect on people.
Did he say that about trans people? If so, then I'm sorry and I agree that his speech could have a detrimental effect on people.

That's too bad. Words can hurt people and I'm surprised he doesn't acknowledge that.
Why are you surprised? He's not exactly known to be the most compassionate being on earth.
My impression is that they pioneered the reusable rocket concept and greatly reduced the price per kg. for sending material into orbit.
However, I personally think they did that despite having Elon, not because of.
