Jadzia, because she's awesome.
Jadzia can save her own self though because she's a badass. Porthos is a helpless lil doggo.
Porthos made it to the end of his series, meanwhile Jadzia…

Technically, since the last episode takes place on the holodeck centuries after the events of ENT no one in made it to the end of the series.
Sad point, well put.
someone should have told Worf this
Am I a weirdo for liking Ezri?
I like both Ezri and Jadzia, but Rick Berman did Terry Ferrell dirty and that's the only reason we had Ezri. So I like Ezri, but there never should have been an Ezri.
She wanted to be on Becker so it was her fault. Berman could have been nice and written her into fewer episodes. But it was her moving to a major network show that killed her off.
She wanted to be on Becker after years of being treated like shit by Berman.
Yeah Berman was a misogynistic jerk but she wanted out to go to Becker.
I get that. What I'm saying is that she wanted to go to Becker because Berman was a jerk.
Becker was a high profile major network show which would have gone along with a major salary increase. If she really wanted to leave, she wouldn't have ask to stay but written out of more episodes so as to not conflict with her Becker schedule.

I was always under the impression that he sucked and was lucky to have had M Piller and J Taylor to find the soul of TNG era trek (ENT is what happened when they both left).
But I did not know this. JFC. Fuck that guy.
He was also a jerk to (at least) Denise Crosby as well. Rick Berman posted on ~~Twitter~~ X a number of years ago with a pic of Tasha's com badge stating Tasha’s com-badge. Denise gave it to me after her last day of shooting on SKIN OF EVIL. It’s been on my desk for nearly 31 years.
Seemed like a really nice little story/memory. Unfortunately, it wasn't true at all. Denise responded Oh friend, my final scene on @StarTrek was not in SKIN OF EVIL but SYMBIOSIS which was filmed out of order. You came to the set to thank me and brought a cake, then ceremoniously ripped off my Communicator badge saying "you won't be needing this anymore." Don't remember?
She later backed down from the comment (saying it was a joke b/w friends), but she had given an interview to TrekCore a good 10 years ago basically saying the same thing - that Berman ripped the com badge off her uniform, and that she was expecting him to rip off the rank pips next. Maybe it was a joke on his part? But even still, kinda of a dick thing to do.
Yea I buy that.
Well, he sounds like a right arsehole.
Like I said, he was a misogynistic jerk. But if she was so keen on leaving she wouldn't have asked for stories to be re-written so she could stay on ds9 while doing Becker.
No, Ezri is cool too.
I like Ezri. It was somewhat crazy to me that they never originally intended on killing her off to begin with.
Like, they created a race that can (sort of) Doctor Who style turn into a brand new person, and their plan was to never utilise that beyond one season 1 episode where someone steals the Dax symbiote?
That's crazy to me. Don't get me wrong, they did utilise the "I have multiple lifetimes of experience" aspect, but never intending to give her a new character was a little odd.
I really liked Ezri. It's just really unfortunate what happened to Terry Farrell that made it happen.
As far as I remember, I don't think we were ever told how long a symbiote can live for, as such it'd be kinda cool for a Dax to show up in the final season of DISCO. I highly doubt that will happen, but it'd be cool :)
