This grow light's built-in timer needs to be turned on again any time that the power is cut (power surge, smart plug, etc). It also needs its timer to be set at the exact hour when you want it to begin.

I had a spare smart plug that would make it easier to schedule and solve my lights staying off any time the power went out. However, I needed the grow light to stay on after the power was cut. Twist tie? Nope. Velcro? Nope. Dollarama hook that won't hold anything over a few grams on my wall? BINGO

Trying to get things ready for automation at my place. This might work for my dehumidifier that doesn't automatically come on if it is unplugged for a while.
