His 14 F1 seasons were filled with drama, shocks and history. Three-time Grand Prix winner Giancarlo Fisichella made headlines for underdog teams and World Championship-winners. Fisi tells Tom Clarkson about winning with Jordan, helping Renault teammate Fernando Alonso become a two-time World Champion, his astonishing pole and podium for Force India in 2009 and the ‘pressure and power’ he felt as an Italian driving for Ferrari!

I used to think Fisichella was pretty good, then he got his chance in a Ferrari to really show what he was made of. He had trouble even finishing races and was pretty much constantly in last place.

To be fair to him that Ferrari (like many) was rumored to be very hard to drive. Super fast, but only in the right hands, undriveable for everyone else.

On the other hand this is said of a lot of Ferrari cars in the past. Even the current car is said to be pretty much at the verge of spinning at all times, with Leclerc and Sainz being pretty good drivers but still making seemingly silly mistakes.
