This session is the only thing I've ever seen from them.
They seem like they're having such a good time. I've been to a bunch of backyard concerts, and its a kind of magic when the people playing aren't separated from the people in the audience, singing songs that everyone knows because they made the songbook together. I think some of the people were uncomfortable being filmed, I would be too -- but I'm really glad they shared it all the same. The videos really captures a feeling for me.
I grew up with a bunch of fucking hippies. Backyard jam sessions are like a.. Tuesday night for us I guess. Punk jams were rare with my crew tho. I am considered the "punk rocker" out of my friend group, and that's really not saying much cuz I certainly don't consider myself that.
I can empathize with the anti-camera vibe tho. My whole friend group growing up was the same. I am staunchly against cams in my face as well.
