It’s definitely better for him. I’m sure half of Meta’s C-suite switched to Android after Apple’s privacy push tanked their earnings. He probably had to wait 3 extra months to get another yacht because of that mean Tim Apple.

It's not a privacy push, it's a monopoly push. Ot made it harder for third parties to collect data, but now apple is collecting it and selling ads.

Genuine question: where is apple selling ads besides the AppStore and which data are they collecting compared to meta?

On the collection part: Take a look at this video or the sources linked in the description if you'd rather read. Tl;dr: about the same things google collects. Not quite as invasive, but they're getting there.

On selling: this article breaks it down, tl;dr is that they are focusing on their walled garden strategy by putting ads into apple apps.
