How are your ladies growing, btw?

I've usually seen more odd deficiencies/tox issues, not Ca and Mg, but I'm not actively growing anything; just trouble shooting usually, and that leads to 'why the fuck is there so much boron' or something like that.

No more ladies currently growing unfortunately...

A wildfire a few years ago hurt the business, and an ice storm this last winter sealed the deal - the company folded... About to move back to the city soon in hopes of better employment

Brutal! Really sorry to hear that. Sounded like you liked it.

Best of luck with the move and the job hunt. Might be best to find the work first and then move, maybe.

You should maybe try Nursery work - there are companies out there that supply plants for reclamation projects. One of them, ironically, set up in an old grow op greenhouse. They supply a ton of seedlings for restoration work. Another nursery nearby does the same for shrubs and such - bearberry, beaked hazelnut, all kinds of 'weird' shit and supplies them to mines.

No clue if there's anything like that out your way. I'll keep thinking of ideas, and PM you if I come up with more harebrained schemes.

Thanks man. Almost 20yr long profession, and I think this is finally what's gonna get me to switch things up.

Funny enough, one of the few gigs I applied to while waiting to hear the news from my boss was in fact a reclamation project, helping with the large dam removal here in OR. They had filled the position already tho. But that is the kind of career pivot I'd love to make!

But, I do love me some harebrained schemes! I'm all ears if you hear of anything.

Moving back to the city will be good for me - it's where all my people and support networks are, it's just not what I'd prefer to be doing long term.

Glad you have a support network and people there. Going it alone in a city sucks - did that during my grad studies.

I'll keep chewing on your job idea problem, and see what I can come up with.
