I wouldn't rely too much on lemmy for news and politics tbh, because posts can sway on way or another or even not get traction because most people don't agree with it. Instead I think it's better something like a RSS feed where you can pick your sources, or maybe just check a couple of less biased news outlets, so you can somehow have a more broad overview of what's going from different perspectives.

You're right, didn't think about that.

Honestly is it even worth anything? Even on reddit I didn't really pay attention to how much karma a user had, maybe when I wanted to check if it was a bot or something.

I'd rather not say for the sake of privacy. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with Google the last time I imported it.
Wish GrapheneOS were available for more mainstream and cheap devices worldwide.

Pixels are not sold here :(

I use one of those plug in repellents. Since they show up in the evening, I turn it on for an hour or two around that time, wait a bit to let the smell leave the room then close windows and doors. Before sleep I do a scoop around the room to find any fucker left.

I swapped instances a couple of times because of federation with political instances. Highly recommend it.

This happens on firefox with me. It doesn't autocomplete, then I have to tab a couple of search suggestions to get to the website I want.

Now it makes sense why there already a couple of requests when I briefly installed threads.

Everything everywhere all at once, but in a good way

If you're on android, connect has the ability to filter whole instances.

Yep. Jumped between a couple of instances because of it.
