I'm not sure I agree with this... it's like if no one is around to hear a tree fall, does it make a sound?

Is something like Plex an option? Get a hard drive, set up a request system (Ombi), then a little app on their phone can take requests and download the shows they feel like they're missing.

Done right it's a one time set up, and an up front payment but over the course of a year I feel like you're saving the cost of either DirectTV or the streaming services.

Also, you can tell them that DirecTV simply licenses shows the way streaming services do which is why they won't lose any content.

DirecTV also may something they prefer simply for what they're used to. At 7pm the same show comes on every day. If that's a part of it, my previous suggestion of a server for media is able to put together TV channels using something like DizqueTV. I understand that it's a bit of effort, though.

Until recently she has historically been anti-fracking. I think the commenter was implying that yes, she did just say that, in order to get funding and support from these companies.

Note: Not saying I feel this way, just clarifying.

What's more disappointing is that she had been historically anti-fracking. Tossed all of that out though, I suppose.

On one hand, I get it. To ensure herself a smooth election, keep the funding from your enemy.

On the other hand, fuck man I just want a President with policy that won't destroy the planet.

At least keep a box of cables and donate it to an electronics recycling or a electronics upcycling store (ReUse, NextStep).

Apple isn't the only company doing this

You can back it up on Steam. You can download your entire library to a backup haddrive and run Steamless, effectively the exact same process as you just described for itch.io.

All you need is over under wrap and that doesn't happen, at all.

Thank you consequence dot net for telling us that David Lynch can no longer direct in person due to emphysema.

Holy shit, that's dark lmao.

Ohh this is a good one, just purposefully spelling it this way. Make it like Donald Drumpf, meet Donold Trump.

Classic Americans, making up our own rules and sucking at following the rest of the world lol

Sometimes it's just not worth it. It's nice to be able to workshop your thoughts, and then you've work shopped it so much that it's just not worth posting - the user you're responding to probably won't care or will antagonize, sometimes your thoughts change as you're typing them, sometimes it just doesn't make sense and there's no point in re-writing something that ultimately contributes very little to anything except your own self-expression.
