From government systems, yes.

Yeah, I have seen it take one drone for a kill or as many as five (or more), depending on the armor. Still thought, a top-down hit on tanks are going to be rough. Even if you don't have confirmation, you can make a good guess on the damage based on where the hit was, the attack angle of the drone and the explosive used.

This kind of skill might help developers build AI agents that identify buttons or fields on a webpage ~~to handle tasks like making a reservation at a restaurant.~~

... to improve efficiency of click farms and to bypass captchas.

What if Bethesda doesn't pay Origin though?

That's exactly what a bot would say.

[–] remotelove@lemmy.ca 9 points 2 weeks ago

It's usually a matter of observing context, and many people fail to do that immediately. Including myself.

The first thing that should pop into a persons head is why is there a swastika on a coin that predates the Nazis by a thousand years. One or two web searches would answer that question.

[–] remotelove@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 weeks ago

You can start to track this down by reverse image searches if you are that curious. It's a crap story, so the actual source is going to be ambiguous.

This was the first I found, posted on the 4th, and I am not linking to it directly.

There are plenty of estimates out there, but it's extremely scattered. The problem is that there are dozens of conditionals attached. For example, if a vehicle was just damaged was it actually recovered? If it was recovered, was it actually repairable? If it was repairable, did it make it back into service? If it made it back into service, how does it count against all previous estimates?

I exaggerated a little, but the point remains. Especially with Russian vehicles, actual numbers are so obscure, probably even their own commands couldn't give you an answer.

So. Probably the most reliable way to make educated guesses is to make estimates on visible reserves factoring in visually confirmed total losses. Covert Cabal and his buddies on YouTube seem to do a fairly good job of tracking Russian reserves using the latest satellite pictures.

After all of that, I don't have a good answer for you. There is a somewhat reliable way to get "before and after" data but anything that happens in between is anyone's guess.

Not any more, anyway.

Ok, this conversation is going to go nowhere. There is a clear divergence in what we both say vs what we interpret each other saying. We can probably both keep trying to explain our points, but it will just lead to an endless cycle of nonsense.

What my familiarity is with one ideology or another is irrelevant to this thread.

But yeah, ml/c/usa is a great example of mostly anti-west mass posting by a vocal minority. We could get into specific subjects and events that may or may not be true, but that risks detailing the point of this thread. (This may have changed over the last few months, but I doubt it.)

For generic cut-n-paste responses, all you usually need to do is mention anything about Ukraine or Chinese gost cities. Those are just two glaring examples, but I am sure there are more.

Your experience is going to be different because you likely have different views than me. That's not good or bad, it just is what it is.

No, I am not a fan of .world either. It's got its own set of issues.

I have and blocked nearly all of it. They have fuck-all to do with Marxism or Communism and mainly focus on Kremlin and CCP anti-west propaganda.

It's worse than the "conservative" communities, actually. It's not so much about promoting a cause as it is about telling everyone else how they are "bad". Any dissent is usually met with insults or walls of cut-n-paste posts that all point back to state media sources or fake sites.

While all places have their own degrees of circle-jerk mentality, it can be especially bad in some corners of Lemmy.

Picture was from the 6th and just harvested a pound or so from the first flush. I was really hoping for a good canopy, but scaling up from shoebox grows has some differences that I am getting used to.

The pins stalled longer than they should have as this strain doesn't seem to be a fan of lower temperatures and higher humidity. Once I bumped the humidity down, reduced the light and increased the temperatures, it finally exploded!

Note for admins and mods: The focus of this post is not on the species being grown here. It just so happens these strains are resilient enough for me to focus on grow methods and techniques while also getting fast results. This is 100% legal in my jurisdiction.

This issue is good and also problematic. It's awesome that Connect will reject private or self signed certs by default, but its problematic for HTTPS content filtering.

It seems that Connect doesn't play well with certificates for local HTTPS proxies, I suspect. For example, the proxied traffic for Connect through AdGuard does not work correctly when HTTPS filtering is enabled.

While it can sometimes work for connecting to an instance and retrieving post lists, using the embedded Connect browser will absolutely not work for HTTPS sites. (It shouldn't work in any situation, honestly.)

A work around, for when the instance connection itself works, is to have Connect use an external browser for all links.

Boring AdGuard documentation about what and how it functions for those who care: https://adguard.com/kb/general/https-filtering/what-is-https-filtering/

I have included some screenshots of what happens when I have my HTTPS filter enabled:

There is a ton of anecdotal evidence on the interwebs about the photosensitivity of fungi, ie, it governs the direction of pin growth, fruit colors, etc. suggesting a circadian rhythm of sorts.

There are older papers out there that do document light sensitivity in the red/blue ranges. However, none that I found have actually documented chemical changes in the fruit itself, just the changes in the structure of the fruit. (If I remember correctly, it was around 100 species that have been documented as photosensitive to some degree.)

I personally have debunked monotub side pinning being caused by light. Compaction of the substrate and limiting moisture exposure to the sides of a mycelium cake has all but eliminated side pinning for me. I digress.

So, I am just looking for new studies and research papers on this subject. Eventually, I will probably conduct my own experiments, but that is for another day.

Cheers!

Prusa dun good with this surprise update.

Modified MINI: Revo hotend + Bondtech extruder

Side notes (will add more as I test this firmware):

  • The pre-sliced benchy from Prusa is a bit of a hack. While it does showcase the new speeds, you are not going to get the best performance when you slice it in Prusa Slicer. The new printer profile is good, but it is absolutely in alpha. (I amended a comment below where I was moving all settings to max.)

  • Factory Prusa profile for IS, only uses 0.4mm nozzles (I have been using 0.6mm nozzles exclusively for a while now)

  • If your belts are still stock, order new ones now. The stress that is getting put on the belts now is a little more extreme. (FYI: There was an error in the F1 x-gantry stop where it might wear the belt excessively, so look close.)

  • I have properly packed all the bearings in the printer with grease so they are not as noisy as they would be stock. Be prepared for bearing noise, is what I am saying.

  • Faster printing is causing ~-2°C drift on my REVO nozzle. That is expected and might be able to PID tune for better stability. It's not bad, just something of note.

  • "BonkersBenchy" was sliced with Prusa 2.6.2a. and accelerations are set at 8000mm/s^2. There are other subtle changes in the gcode that affect total print speeds, so dig into them if you need mor fasts.

  • The printer compensates OK when the print speed is manually set to 255 (absolute max). Your top layer bridges are going to have a rough time. It may work or, your print will be ripped off the bed because the first top layers aren't exactly studio quality. (I should say it adjusts to max speed better than it did with older firmware.)

I had a bit of grain left during my last run, so I mixed the bits I had left.

This is interesting, actually. Over the next few months, I'll continue this experiment to see what grain mixes might work better for spawn.

While this wasn't a "proper" test, I had still hypothesized that the higher starch content in the popcorn would do better. I guess not.

I'll try and separate testing into different categories like starch content, moisture content, mycelium strain, etc. There is probably a ton more conditions to isolate as well.
