RCS was a dumpster fire for years. Only in the past couple of years has Google stepped up to be the centralized force in making it work as envisioned.

quick edit to say I agree this could’ve been avoided if Apple had made iMessage for Android, but I just wanted to point out the blame is shared by poor implementation across the board.

Indeed, the article was written with Backblaze B2 as the S3-compatible storage used.

The manufacturer can save money by not including grills and if the speaker gets damaged they will make more money when you buy a replacement speaker.

My prediction is that they are going to increase the price of the Quest 3 like they did for the Quest 2.

I did not expect the acrylic to be hand engraved. Thanks for sharing!

Do I need to wear some sort of special technical fabric fanny pack? I don’t want to inhibit the progress of the pioneers.

If I may ask as an edc lurker, I love the idea of edc, but how do you carry so many useful gadgets? If I put stuff in my phone pocket then it scratches up my phone. If I put stuff in my key/wallet pocket then it unlocks my car randomly. I would carry my lathe in my pocket if it was feasible.

Requires an iPhone 15 Pro or an iPad

Some sort of chemical reaction. My best guess would be a drop of CA glue that degraded the material over time.

Glad you bounced back. Fargo S5 was my favorite story since S1. John Hamm was fantastic.

Having a 3d printer is super convenient for any home or shop repairs I need to make. I have so many curtain spacers and custom hooks all over the place now. The key is to get some hours in Fusion or some other good CAD software so you can whip up custom parts in minutes. You may get it wrong the first few times, but a couple minutes of tweaks and then you have a new part printing while you go back to working on other stuff.

The Swedish Maker just put out a video about how transformative 3d printing has been for his workflow. https://youtu.be/p2bClWmKHRM
