To scroll through Instagram today is to parse a series of sponsored posts from brands, recommended Reels from people you don’t follow, and the occasional picture from a friend. in c/technology@lemmy.ml

@yogthos I had planned on moving all my photography away from Instagram and onto Twitter.

Instagram pretty quickly became the lesser of two evils, though. I'm experimenting with Pixelfed but there's not a critical mass of the people I want to share with in the Fediverse...yet.
