When you say you want more, what do you mean?

[–] minnix@lemux.minnix.dev 7 points 6 months ago

As was already mentioned, an RSS reader would be best. I like miniflux in conjunction with the News Android app.

I like Librum for reading, as far as finding https://lemmy.ml/c/piracy may know

What was the reason?

There's a pretty neat gaming case available for this as well https://lemux.minnix.dev/post/203271

A better comparison would be the RPi compute module 4 since both need a carrier. A thin client like you mention, or one of the recent sub $100 n100 mini PCs would be a good alternative.

Awesome, that's just the kind of info I needed.

KVMs, especially with ATX power support, are great tools if something happens to your server and you can't reach it via network, like ssh. They use a video input instead of output to view the BIOS and see what's going on. Also the ability to not only reboot but control the actual power for hard resets make it like you're actually physically in front of the machine. If your server has an issue that you can't solve with KVM with power support, then that means you are in deep doodoo and either have a complete power outage, or the physical case would have to be removed to access the issue.

Why this is a big deal is pro KVMs cost hundreds of dollars if not more, and setting up a piKVM, especially with ATX power support, is not trivial. We did a big segment on piKVMs on the Linux Lugcast podcast, and I was just thinking of building one, but then I saw this new board and couldn't believe the price tag for what it offers.

Not yet unfortunately, but this is a day one buy for me.

Neither Allwinner nor Rockchip boards need proprietary flashing software for img images. BTW, if you're having issues flashing, let me know and I can help out. I've flashed countless RC boards over the years since the original Rock64.
