I just put /e/ on my Gen 1 Pixel and the camera quality was not good. I need to try the google camera apk and see if that helps, but that was quite the downer for me. Kind of the only things I care about are battery life and photo quality.

I can say what's helped me tremendously is finding a niche instance that aligns with your interests instead of the huge generic ones
