Planning economic output, without consideration of efficient markets, sounds like a Soviet five year plan

this is a well known photo of a major city in Texas. It is real, but from the 80s

What if I told you those who own a car are more likely to eat fast food/make poor diet choices?

fwiw, car usage may be related to elevated "fast food" consumption.

less cars, less drive-thrus, less McOzempic

I just think it would be a miss if we just solely spoke on JUST the physical activity.

how wouldn't it?

I think the man kicks the bear. Then the bear responds in kind.

NPCI is building two 700MW pressurised heavy water reactors (PHWR), including Units 3 and 4 at Kakrapar, where there are two 220MW power plants. Officials say that in July, the fourth unit recorded 97.56% progress.

Wonder why they're building these instead of thermal coal plants

The full platform will provide heat equivalent to 2.3 GWh of gas consumption. Moreover, during summer months and high-sunshine periods, it will provide up to 100% of the factory’s heat demand.

Solar thermal has a storage advantage over PV, but an disadvantage in electric efficiency. Hope to see more of these come online.

The power ministry plans to set up some more thermal plants in the country, and since we have coal, land and water, the coal ministry has decided to build three pithead thermal power plants.

One of these will [...] have 2,400 megawatt capacity. The second will [...] also be of 2,400 MW capacity ...

The third thermal power plant will be [...] a 660 MW plant.

All the three projects are in advanced stages of initiation and de-coaled land is being identified for them. Land where a mine has closed down after operation is called de-coaled land.

2033 is going to be wild.

G20 countries account for 80% of world power sector emissions, with per capita CO2 from coal power at 1.6 tons last year, up from 1.5 tons in 2015 and significantly higher than a global average of 1.1 tons, Ember said.

Is this from EVs or more powerful phones? I don't understand the cause of this. Any ideas?

...the government that took office after last year’s general election has made clear its aim to reverse this declining trend and expand the role of nuclear power in the coming two decades, implementing legal changes aimed at paving the way for such an energy transformation.

I haven't seen any legislation in the news. How about the lemons? Have you folks seen any?
