If we have wider roads, we can increase the number of electric vehicles which is good for the climate.

With wide enough roads we could even reduce congestion. The future is ours!

In its complaint, Exxon maintained that the existing proposal and proxy voting process is “flawed,” arguing that it “does not serve investors’ interests and has become ripe for abuse by activists with minimal shares and no interest in growing long-term shareholder value.”

I understand the propaganda, but why is this better than building affordable housing in places with low risk of storm surge?

The reclamation process itself is half-baked too. Do you know where the sand for these reclamation projects comes from and how dredging that sand impacts coastal erosion?

we obviously need to take money from Amtrak and public transport grants to rebuild the interstate system. Guardrails upgraded everywhere, new lanes would be added to reduce congestion

The project, jointly developed by Britain’s SSE and Norway’s Equinor and Vårgrønn, will produce 3.6 gigawatts of power, enough for 6m homes a year, when it is completed in 2026.

UK already has renewable capacity that's equals their fossil fuel capacity.

Texas is uniquely positioned because its grid is not interconnected.

Live your best life Germany, don't let the haters tell you otherwise

Wonder if they will actually be built? I don't think anyone has actually done this yet

Critics say under the new proposal schools and other sites that have solar and more than one electricity meter would be required to sell the energy they produce back to their utility and then buy it back at a much higher rate.

What the heck CA?

Preliminary estimates indicated a total discovered volume of 5 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas, equal to about 140 billion cubic metres, with an estimated condensate content up to 400 million barrels.

The future is natural gas

To date, the UK has installed more than 14 GW of onshore wind power and has a pipeline of planned projects totaling 23 GW.

Cool to see the UK doing cool shit even though they left the EU.

The Insure Our Future report singled out Lloyd’s of London Ltd ... insures 10 mines producing 22.8% of US coal output. Zurich insures two mines producing 4.9% of US output, while Swiss Re insures one mine producing 3% of output, according to the report.

I heard that insurance companies are pulling out of regions impacted by wildfire and flood. Neat they're still doing the otherside of it though.

The next stage of the process will see companies able to bid for Government contracts with successful bids from the six going to contract award stage next summer.
