Good tip but definitely does not work 100% of the time, I used different bypass methods and some worked for one app but blocked another again. It's possible if you know some code but to maintain it it's not worth it IMO. Where I live being hacked is covered by insurance but if you bypassed root restrictions they definitely won't be on your side.

You're presuming people are paying attention to everything all of the time, which they don't. Humans need that extra level of redundancy to mitigate our own shortcomings. Also, we look twice right as well! Once while standing still, the second time instinctively when you're already crossing in case something changed. Would you be required to do this 100% of the time? Probably not, but learning from a young age you can't trust one look is good practice in more ways than one.

When apple changed to lightning it was in the middle of the accessory hype where there were loads of accessories using the 30-pin. People where outraged because they could no longer use any of their accessories. Apple then commited to lightning for 10 years in order to sooth the public image.
