There’s a small YouTube channel I watch of a this dude longboard around London. It’s amazing how pedestrian and skate friendly it is. They’d be doing some proper long term damage if this kind of thinking gets through. With Brexit the Brits might be in for a decade more of rolling back civilisation.

I think it’s important in your 20s to push yourself and know where your ambitions and priorities lie. Checking if your work is a dead end can also signify wherever you’re growing in your skill sets too. What you don’t want is suddenly needing to push yourself later in life having to compete with people younger and hungrier than you. Try young and try hard will help minimise regret later.

If I was to redo my 20s. What worked was going to university in my mid 20s. I was able to finish it much quicker and made some close friends during by that time as well as set my career path going. What I wish I had done was move away from the city I grew up in. I only did it in my late 20s and I regret not doing it sooner.

Have lots of social interactions. It’s valuable. Set yourself up career wise. Always check to know you haven’t hit a ceiling where you’re working. Exercise and travel lots would be my key takeaways.

It’s so depressing. Our city in Australia had such a good robust tram network and they ripped it all out because they hired an American urban planner that promoted cars is the future. Now instead we have a long car tunnel named after the Lord Mayor that was responsible for it.

Fry’s reading of Harry Potter is one of my favourite pieces of media of all time. And I’m not a Harry Potter fan. He’s an absolute master. I’m in. Thanks!

Me when I was 12. Around that time two of my aunts also divorced. My dad side a couple more split earlier on too. My generation of cousins and siblings had a running joke that divorce was in our dna. Probably some truth to that.

All studios had to do was follow the path of music streaming. It’s practically rid of piracy on a mass market because most streaming service has practically the same content. So it’s a matter of user experience they’re competing with, not the content they host.

I hit my limit with hope much I’m willing to pay for a phone. Unless my contracting work needs the best phone I’ll be capping myself at a price by getting not the latest phone.

This isn’t talked about enough. Apple at least for now support more older models than most if not all androids. The key is not to buy into the marketing. Phones today are good enough and mature enough to not need to be at the bleeding edge every other year. Just get a new case, new wallpaper and swap the battery before deciding a new phone.

Honestly if you care about camera improvements, get a second hand semi decent mirrorless or point and shoot camera. Way more fun. And easy replaceable battery and storage.

In the winter months a shower every night. Sometimes I skip a night if I’m lazy or I’ve stayed home all day.

In the summer I will maybe take 2-3. One is a proper shower. The two or three are quick 20 second cold water rinse to cool myself down. Helps to have one right before bed on a hot night.
