To me net worth makes the most sense. I do agree 1% isn’t as high as people think. When people talk about the 1% they are probably thinking more about the top 0.1% or even 0.01%.

Looking just at the states with ~330 million people that would be 3.3 million 1%ers. Tons of people who never made huge salaries, but are great at saving and investing will be in that category.

It’s just a class that is absolutely exploring people. You can’t become a billionaire without it. You can absolutely become an honest millionaire so it wouldn’t make sense to use that.

If you have $20m you are EASILY making 500k/year in interest/dividends/investment growth. You’d have to try pretty hard to not grow your $20m.

I’m no expert but if you google “hunting knives” you’ll get results with folding and non folding. It’s pretty easy to assume whoever wrote the article could call any of these knives in the search result a hunting knife. Why is this even a discussion?

It’s pretty common for hunting knives to be foldable.

The other alternative is he keeps it in his meat pocket. Much more room than pants pocket.

While cheaper phones would be great, this is not how economics work.

Not sure that would be enough, lots of people carry a knife almost all the time.

While wearing a mask is never a bad idea, it is absolutely not necessary to not get sick. I am also immunocompromised and I have stopped wearing a mask. I wash my hands very often and never eat handheld food without washing first. Zero issues since getting covid back when I was wearing a mask religiously.

They could probably get away with simply saying “I would never recommend any advice that goes against verified safe medical practices.”

I disagree. Hardest I’ve ever seen to not tip is click “other amount”, press 0, you’re done.

Your argument about a livable wage would have made sense years ago when there was a separate wage for tipped workers. Everyone in Canada get paid at least minimum wage now.
