We can probably share this community link in the off-topic channel on the discord. Not sure about the blackout message though (doesn’t actually even show on most mobile 3rd party apps like Apollo). I’m not certain where the Reddit F1 mods will fall in wanting to pull people out of the subreddit definitively.

Either way I agree, hoping we can make this a lively enough place.

I really don’t hate Stroll like some mindlessly so, but the l problem is that even if he has the most dominant car on the grid during a race, it’s very likely he’ll still be beaten by either his teammate or those in slower cars.

He has 1/3 the amount of points as Alonso right now and is sitting down in 8th while driving what has overall been the second best car this season. This isn’t new either. Almost every season he’s been in F1 he has underperformed compared to his teammate/car capability.

It’ll be interesting to see how Aston navigates the pressure of having almost all the components of a championship winning team, except for Stroll.

I wish Codemasters would focus on improving the core gameplay, co-op mode, league features, new animations, or returning classic cars over expanding the braking point drama styled story.

I need less couch customization and more substance to be motivated to hop back in to a yearly release.

I tried out the discord and just found it wasn’t nearly as good for having a forum style discussion. It was basically a big group chat with everyone having their own conversations over each other without a real way of organizing them. I’m hoping this community here can be the new hub!

This is awesome. Excited at the prospect of apps hitting the App Store as early as July. It will definitely help accelerate the growth of the site

Just a reminder that currently in lou of an app to support Lemmy, on iOS you can add lemmy.world as a webapp to your Home Screen by hitting the Share Button -> “Add to Home Screen”.

This will give app an icon for lemmy to your home screen and fit the webpage into a webapp for quick access. Hope this helps ease the migration off Reddit!

Yeah this is exactly how Reddit was back in 2010. It was the Wild West back then and similar subs fought to survive. Eventually the one with the best content will win out!
