Only ❤️ for you guys!

Hi, I am still trying to understand the Federation word. I am an user on lemmy.world and I follow a community (or magazine) on kbin.social. I was reading a post on kbin.social and I noticed that I see only comments from users on lemmy.world.

Why this happens? I saw that lemmy.world is linked to kbin.social (looking at its instances), so why?

Thank you!

You need to register in the instance you want and then add the new account to the app

Oh, I didn't think about that!

Can I ask you how backblaze quota works? I plan to do an rsync once per night, how does it costs? And If I want to explore the storage or download the database?

Hi! I want to self host lemmy on my homelab. I have a lot of services installed but only a couple of them are exposed on the internet using subpaths like host.com/plex or host.com/nextcloud.

I want to do the same with lemmy, so host.com/lemmy. Does lemmy support this particular URL configuration? Thank you!

Hi! I don't know if it has been already asked. Is there a way to subscribe to a post and receive notifications about new comments?

I think jerboa is the only one available for android

I don't know if self hosting is good for this purpose. What if something happens to the owner of the server or to the server itself? I think it is better to use something like lemmy.world, lm or other instances of Lemmy

Yep I saw a post saying that they are still deciding the platform to use (Lemmy, forum, etc...)

I still don't understand if this one is the "official" replacement of r/homelab 🤔 can someone give me some informations about that?
