Sweet I’ll give it a shot, thanks.

Damn, really? I’m a fan of the ui. Is voyager an app now? Not into web based platforms.

Does anyone else use Memmy?

I ask because the links to new communities never work for me. Curious if it’s the same for others.

Exactly. It was dramatized and way more entertaining than reality but the premise was based on very realistic scenarios.

It is and has been a mainstream site for a while now. It’s followed the same trajectory as Facebook. The typical user only cares about the topics that interest them. They have zero interest in what’s happening in the background and are fully accustomed to being blasted in the face with ads 24/7.

Always appreciated your posts. Take care of yourself and hopefully the community is still kicking if and when you decide to pick it back up.

If the top of your burrito is open, you should find another taqueria.

No such thing as a convertible burrito.

Love the smoke, what’s the medium?

No, you’re correct, it’s continuing the rhythm across the facade. I guess what I’m saying is a) the little hip roof looks incredibly weak with that column and nothing else around it and more importantly b) the entire structure is superfluous and as far as I can tell, only serves the purpose of making the house appear larger than it is.

Edit: I can’t tell from this shot, but perhaps there is enough depth to it that it actually does function as a port cochere. If so, I still feel the same way, it looks bad.

Spouse can drop spouse off on a rainy night before parking in the garage. He/she can then enter that weird door (that should’ve been on the side) which seems better than trying to figure out how to get in the barricaded main entry.

Really dislike almost everything about this house. Clearly FLW inspired but so many problems with materials, massing, proportions, etc.

Just to pick a few things as examples:

  1. The port cochere entry thing makes no sense and the roof structure is too wimpy for the massive column supporting it.

  2. The front door/porch could’ve been strong, defined and welcoming. They chose to wall it off instead. If there are sidewalks coming from the sides, they’re invisible in this shot. This says stay away.

  3. That balcony above the front entry is awful. It’s a solid wall that detracts aesthetically and functionally defeats the purpose of swinging those doors open for fresh air, light, and views.

I’ve heard of exactly 50% of these artists and don’t really know any of their music.

I’ll crawl back to Berlin where my Spotify Wrapped says I belong.

Of course masking tape is fine for domestic flights. I thought it was pretty obvious this was an international flight but I’ll explain to those who aren’t paying attention.

The pax is reading about (American) football which means it’s late fall/early winter in the US. However, as he is dressed in shorts and sandals, he is clearly traveling to Panama for vacation. It’s obviously a direct international flight from Cleveland to Panama in November.

They should be using duct tape.

The Fifty Fathoms!

I don’t expect it to be as popular as the Moonswatch, but I think it looks great. Definitely didn’t see this one coming.

I don’t give a shit about a platform. I come from the phbb days when you sought out your communities and eventually landed with a bunch of likeminded people.

I ditched Reddit because I will not support their greedy race to the bottom. I won’t “just check the sub I’m in to occasionally” I’m done with it.

The only content I’m remotely interested in here in the fediverse is news related. And it’s boring as fuck. I didn’t go to Reddit for Reddit or news. I went there for the specific things I’m in to. Real shit, not memes.

I’m not going back there. And I can only yell at a wall here for so long.

Haven’t touched Reddit since 7/1 but decided to go back and unsubscribe from every sub today. Figure even if I’m not an active user, I’m also now not a number they can point to as success.

But holy shit, the ads I had to see. They’re bigger and more more blatant than I remember. I can only assume that they throw them right at the top of every feed to get that view before you leave.

Fuck Reddit.

Looks sharp but not sure how much new tech it has in it yet. Been playing the Prime 4 for a few years and I’ve been really happy with it. Curious if anyone has been able to compare the two.
