4 of these I've never heard of, I'm guessing it is international music like foreign language or something completely outside what I'd hear.

You know that it's pointless to comment "foreign" if you don't say what country you're from?

You could be Mexican and know Bad Bunny but not know The Weeknd. Or you're Canadian but don't know Bad Bunny.

Foreign to my was the implication, not specifically foreign to any particular place

I know Taylor Swift and I've heard of the weekend. That's about it :/

[–] flipthetube@lemmy.world 22 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I’ve heard of exactly 50% of these artists and don’t really know any of their music.

I’ll crawl back to Berlin where my Spotify Wrapped says I belong.

40% here... half of which are Taylor Swift

[–] Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone 16 points 11 months ago

I have never heard of any of these

I hope they made enough cents from the Spotify streams to buy a couple of sandwiches each.

Didn't understand why second place has 13B and shorter chart, when first place has only 4B.

[–] duffer@lemmy.world 8 points 11 months ago (1 children)

The 2nd place spot is 3.5bn.

[–] mittyta@lemmy.world 7 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Got it, just point that this chart isn't beautiful, because | looks like 1

[–] Fal@yiffit.net 4 points 11 months ago

Also why is it in reverse order? Shouldn't the number 1 be at the top?

[–] andyMFK@reddthat.com 5 points 11 months ago

You sure get a lot of streams when you cater to the lowest common denominator

[–] NorthWestWind@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

Hell yeah I know none of these
