If it was owned by the community that moderated it, then yes. But no it's owned by another rich asshole.

Imagine they start selling plots and then have a housing shortage because of speculators. I wouldn't put it past Microsoft!

The DNC is complicit. The finances are a bad smell. They paid Oprah to show up. I thought celebrities did that to support the party but no, they just want another bag. A billion fucking dollars to lose to trump. On the plus side, it shows that one doesn't need a billion dollars to be the president, if we even have another election

We need a community owned centralized service. I don't think the mastodon model is a good one for social media, it's too complicated.

That is also one of they ways we can stop gun violence. Bring back the sense of community and being one people. Also common sense gun reforms.

All it takes is one fair election to be won decisively by an autocrat. The democratic party handed it to this shit head. Worst yet, he doesn't even have to rig the election system because the democrat party is fucking incapable of attracting voters and it doesn't look like they are going to fix what is broken about the party.

My company has teams and slack and IT wants to switch to all teams. The thread where they announced this had to be locked. :D I don't know how a trillion dollar company can't get this right. Worst yet the bundle that shit with everything and overworked IT depts pick it by default.
