They also removed the ability to link third-party list applications so now saying "Add X to shopping list" just sends it into some nether realm where the item is never to be seen ever again.

Wrong, the US has antritrust laws and you can bet your bottom dollar that epic would have sued them already if they had any ground to do so.
That's not a steam issue, that's a developer/publisher issue Plenty of old Scumm based games work by just pointing scummvm at the game directory
Epic have more than enough fortnite money to make a launcher that's not shit
The speed force
Not great for my use case but your mileage may vary I need very high res with 240hz which is only in beta drivers atm so it's very difficult to find a distro I can use without messing about
Given how everything else syncs fairly well I can't imagine it wouldn't Very useful feature to be sure
