I'm so so looking forward to sync, and it gives me a lot of hope seeing all of these apps and fancy UI's, it's reassuring that the fediverse is here to stay and will continue to grow

Lol I can feel your distain and and as I was reading it I also thought to myself "this sounds painfully boring and needlessly technical"

Sadly this is the truth these days, opera certainly has had it moments in the sun in the past (especially on lower spec devices) but I would personally stare clear these days

Firefox is really the only true alternative

Small shout-out to edge browser's built in pdf editing functions though, this is really handy on PC at times

Thanks guys for the explanation, strange, I'd been on Reddit for more than 10 years and I didn't know about r/place

That's disappointing, Lemmy is fantastic but I guess I understand it's hard to break up with what's familiar

Can I ask what your favorite Pokemon game is overall?

While other apps offer a nice interface I find the jerboa app by far the best app for actually posting and commenting /actually interacting

This is important because I find that interacting with communities is actually a much better way to get meaningful engagement of Lemmy than it was with Reddit (I.e: lurking)

I had a really great day, resigned from my current job to move to a more interesting one, resigned amicably which felt really good, and had a really great afternoon with my little 5y.o. boy

Also last night I caught up with some friends I hadn't seen in like 10 years, it was amazing I love them so much, they had a quiet drink and it didn't worry me it was just so nice to see them
