I've just started dipping into Poker Face, I've been watching it on Now. Natasha Lyonne (imo) is always watchable, even if she's basically always playing a version of herself. I'm really enjoying it, quite Columbo-esque, with a different murder to solve in each episode, there's some really entertainment characters and set ups as she works her way through small town America like a foul mouthed Littlest Hobo.

I remember a while ago reading that the thick plastic bags are worse, because they take so much longer to break down, you have to re-use them something like 1000 times to make them more environmentally friendly than using a thin one that degrades much quicker. This was based on the types of plastic bags in use at UK supermarkets. The thick ones were marketed as 'bags for life', which they're not.
It's twice as big as you can see in the picture, it's divided by a very wonky fence and trellis that is probably now held up by the brambles that have grown over. Haven't even been down to look at the bottom half this year, I don't know if it's possible to get through now. It was a brilliant garden to grow up in, we had a swing, space to run around in, trees to climb, LOADS of places to make dens. When I was 7 I started digging a hole to make a secret underground den for me and my friends. Got about 5 cm down and decided it was going to be too much work... Story of my life really!
I live in Liverpool but I'm down south at my mum's, and it's not much better here. Feels chilly in the mornings. I was down on the South coast at the weekend and it was much better there, they really do get all the good weather compared to the rest of the country. It's just a shame it's full of boring people.
This is my mum's, she's elderly and disabled, and this has just got completely overgrown and wild over the years. We need to get it sorted so she can sell up and move on to somewhere that meets her needs, but for now although it's a headache thinking about how we get this cleared, it's a bit of a wildlife haven. The local foxes have made their home here and I often wake up to the sight of three young fixes curled up asleep together in a hollow they've made in the long grass outside the window of the room I sleep in. I'll be very sad if whoever buys this doesn't like foxes.
Are you talking about white kids, or black kids though? I think the issue is that black kids unfortunately will hear that language anyway, as the targets of it, and that hearing it read out in the classroom is going to be a very different experience for them.
A boy in the street, who must have been about 8 years old, looked me up and down in a reeeally pervy way and said "You're fit, you", again in a reeeally pervy way. It was weird, and unsettling. (Fit = hot in the UK).
It really is a breath of fresh air, and has highlighted for me how dumb and angry so much of Reddit has become.
Can I offer a non tech site?
A bit niche - train travel around the world - but if you want to travel between countries by train, or several countries, or cross country, this is THE site. I've used it for inspiration, and for checking whether a mad idea I've had is feasible, and for planning.
I've done a few trips by train and often people are amazed at my travel know-how but in reality I have none, the guy who makes this website does, and he makes it all incredibly easy. Timetables, prices, options, suggested routes, links to buy tickets, what to expect from the train facilities, it's all in there.
I just had a quick look on the front page on mobile browser, not logged in, and the top 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 'hot' posts are about the blackout, and the 'top' post is a thank you from the Apollo app creator.
(This is my first attempt at uploading a pic on here so 🤞)
I'm so glad I didn't have kids. I'm not sure how I'll survive as an old lady in the post oil, post water, post life world, but at level my kids won't have to feel guilty for leaving me at the side of the road. Or eating me.
