This is a common misconception, it’s actually news for foxes.

When vacationing in the US one of the things that really stuck out to me is the amount of lawyers on billboards they (or you) have over there. Seems Americans really like suing huh?

Is this real? Why is it downvoted?

Same, I think the only thing preventing me from using mlem exclusively is the lack of an image viewer.

I’d rather wash a lot of dishes a few times a day than wash a few dishes many times a day. It’d just feel like I’m constantly washing the dishes.

Hi,

I'm using docker-compose to host all my server services (jellyfin, qbittorrent, sonarr, etc.). I've recently grouped some of them into individual categories and then merged the individual docker-compose.yml file I had for each service into one per category. But is there actually any reason for not keeping them together?

The reason why is I've started configuring homepage and thought to myself "wouldn't it be cool if instead of giving the server IP each time (per configured service in homepage) I'd just use the service name?" (AFAIK this only works if the containers are all in the same file).

I reaaaaaaally want to avoid purchasing new hardware, I feel bad enough about buying my Pi before finding out it’s actually not that well suited for my needs at the time (media server.

I see, this aligns with my previous experience with Arch on Pi. I guess I’ll stick with Pi OS Lite for now. Thanks!

I’m surprised there aren’t many people talking about Mlem. It’s far from perfect and it still misses some basic features (such as a full screen image viewer lol) but I find it to be the prettiest and most intuitive of the bunch.

Hi everyone,

I'm currently changing my setup a bit and I'm thinking about firing up my Raspberry Pi 4 again as a home server kind thing. I typically use Arch (BTW) as my go-to linux distro but IIRC arch on the Pi gave me some trouble last time I tried it. Does anyone know how stable arch on Pi is right now? Also, is there a particular reason I should or shouldn't use the native Raspberry Pi OS?

I know I didn't write about uses really but that's because I haven't figured out what I want to do with it yet... I've recently moved my main server (mainly media) to my folks' house since they got fiber (gotta go fast), but I think it makes sense having some lower profile server running in my own home so I can connect to it remotely.

Oh ok I guess that makes sense. Was it that obvious? 😅

Can someone explain the joke? I know what stacks are but I don’t get it…
