Interesting article, I've never read about how nuclear batteries work.

In general, nuclear batteries produce just microwatts or even nanowatts of electricity.

Seems like you could use energy harvesting techniques here and not have to worry about the (probably small amount of) nuclear waste left after 20 years. Especially now that we have Wi-Fi networks everywhere now giving off free energy.

Wow these "lightweight" bikes are 50-60 pounds. I'd be worried about hitting bumps on a carbon frame with that much weight on it. Are most ebikes carbon frame now?

How to oil pull: Put about 1 tbsp (15 mL) of oil in your mouth Swish the oil around your mouth for about 15–20 minutes Spit out the oil, then brush your teeth

Hmmm I'll live with my coffee stained teeth, thanks

Taking on one extra dog for a few days seems like the easiest, most chill way to make a little money on the side if you are careful about which dogs you take. Those people who sit 4+ dogs at a time are insane but must pull in a good bit of money.

Ok yeah fair. I live in tick country as well so any time you go in ankle high grass you will likely get ticks. I mostly just put on my outdoor pants or bug spray if I expect to do so.

Genuine question, what are you doing on a regular basis where you would expect to get ticks on you while wearing jeans? Are you a pokemon trainer walking through tall grass all day?

If someone else has to debug the problems caused by a parent naming their child with a special character, does that make the parent the bugger? 🤔

Snow Creek MO has a whole 300ft hill you can ski on.

Well, a whole side of a hill anyway.

From the quick googling I did at work, it seems that there are different types of starches that digest at different rates. Whole grain cereals are in the slower-to-digest category *and might not get digested fully.

I personally suspect that the process of making oat milk - blending and straining the oats - makes them easier to digest and probably has an impact on GI. So it's probably a wash.

Wouldn't the starch break down into an equivalent amount of sugar during digestion?

They have released them in several places, even in the US surprisingly.

Sounds like it only recently got regulatory approval, and then there has to be some testing at each location before release.

Did you get a huge flood of emails at the start? That happened to me one time and it was because one of my old passwords got leaked. Buried within the flood of emails was a legit "your password has been changed" email for an account.
