Looks inspired by it, but the emperor only has 1 mechanical eye lighting up.

Hey

I sent you DM 3 days ago, but haven't gotten an reply. Just wanted to let you know in case your lemmy client doesn't notify you of DMs

Ownership in terms distribution of digital software is a bit funky I guess, but from a consumers point of view, there's really nothing GOG/game companies can do once you got the installer. You're effectively owning the bits on your hard drive and there's nothing they can do to control what you do with those bits. I guess from a lawyers perspective it may be different, but in practice there isn't much.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with the licenses though? A game licensed under MIT would be free to share, attribution shouldn't be much of problem.

The vast majority of the bestsellers on steam either have normal DRM or DRM via being an online service. At least the bestsellers in 2023.

Put the installer on a USB stick and sell it. I assume you've never gone back to the electronics store where you bought your dishwasher and expected to sell your used dishwasher there.

Edit: For those interested it’s Van Gogh - The Scream.

Is this some Swedish psyop meant to trigger Norwegians? The Scream was painted by Edvard Munch.

You also didn't link to the actual painting.

I've never been to a house in Norway that didn't have a dishwasher. Even cabins up in the mountain or old seaside cabins have them installed if they got water access. Where do you live where it isn't common?

She refused until I guessed... She even had the gall to act insulted when I was wrong

Guessing people's height also isn't something I do regularly. Might be why I suck at it.

[–] UndercoverUlrikHD@programming.dev 9 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

My height is 192 so 190 vs 185 would be easy to tell, but once you reach ~182 and below it's all a wash. 180 vs 175 I wouldn't have a clue. I was off by more than 10cm in my estimation when they were sitting in front of me, and it was a person I knew well.

Unless you're the same height as me, I'll never remember how tall you are. I was mentoring some girl for half year and when she asked me to guess her height while she was sitting, I guessed ~170, turns out she was 180+.

Height just isn't something I register about a person, and I don't see why anyone would bother trying to remember stuff like that.

I'm looking for a 5 pin connector type that I can easily find chassis plugs for both male and female.

I've looked at DIN and mini xlr connectors, but have unsurprisingly been unable to find male chassis sockets.

The pins needs to support 12V 10A*

*realistically only expects about 6-7A flowing through 1 pin and one fourth of that through the 4 others.

LiveThreadBot is now live (programming.dev)
submitted 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) by UndercoverUlrikHD@programming.dev to c/football@lemmy.world

Update: To add or remove women's game's, you now need to add -w to the command. E.g. -football -w Barcelona - Liverpool or -remove -football -w Barcelona - Liverpool This is due to edge cases where men's and women's team share name and play against the same opponent on the same day. Women's match thread will also be marked with [Women's game] in the title.

As some of you may have seen, the community now has a match thread bot to help with automating creation and updating match threads.

The bot takes a request in the format -football football@lemmy.world Barcelona - Real Madrid and will look up to 6 days ahead for an upcoming match and add it to a queue. ~15 minutes before kick off it will make a post that it will continuously update with available score, stats and commentary.

To make a request you can either tag the bot or reply to one of the bot's comments. See the comments for an interaction example.

The bot will work in any community federated with lemmy.world so if you want to create a live thread in e.g. c/gunners you could make a request like this -football gunners@lemmy.world Arsenal - Tottenham Hotspur

Do note that the bot requires approval from a mod or admin to post in a community. So unless you're a mod/admin, you'll need to ask them to approve the bot via -mod_action whitelist gunners@lemmy.world or become a trusted user that can bypass the block -mod_action trust username@instance.com gunners@lemmy.world

For a more detailed and technical overview of the bot's capabilities, please check the readme in the gitlab repo: https://gitlab.com/UlrikHD/lemmy-match-thread-bot
