The main problem with stadia was Google. I knew it was doomed from the start and that's why I never bothered with it. I actually know a lot of people that didn't bother with it because it was from Google. It's basically a self fulfilling prophecy at this point that most of their shit ends up on the Google graveyard.
A lot of people actually don't trust Google anymore since they've already been screwed over many times by them.
We call those people wappies where I live. There's no reasoning with them. No one takes them seriously.
I honestly think narcissists like Elon enjoy any attention they receive. No matter how negative.
It's worse. They're not even apologizing for their actions but the "confusion and angst".
It's kind of like saying "we're sorry you feel that way" and are somehow misunderstanding what they're trying to do. They might as well have said, sorry dumbasses but it's going to happen regardless. Perhaps in some watered down form, perhaps not this/next year, but it will happen.
Im also saddened that this is at the top of my feed. I want to laugh not be annoyed by some shitpost badly hidden as a meme.
I don't really want to rewatch the 4 hour or so stream but off the top of my head' -ship combat wasn't fun (he didn't get it and found it unreasonably hard) -he did not care for the RPG elements and doesn't like games where you have to play for a lot of hours before it becomes fun -he found the combat clunky compared to other shooter games
He admitted he probably wasn't the right audience for the game since he never really liked Bethesda games. He just wanted to try something different. Also story seems to be not that important to him generally. I personally love Bethesda games and can get completely absorbed in them. But I can also definitely understand it's not for everyone.
Did you try some of the smaller instances? Big instances will inevitably face the same problems that Reddit has/had. A platform is as good as it's users, and you can only moderate up to a certain point untill it becomes straight up censorship. Sadly more people also means more trolls and shitposters.
But yeah it's still annoying and I fully agree with what you said.
A lot of people like to think the world is either black or white with no in-between. As someone who works in construction and renovates houses a lot I can confirm that there are definitely good land lords as well as bad ones. My gf rented an appartment from old people before I met her and she paid almost nothing (400 euros all-inn), you can't even get social housing for that here. And the state of maintenance was excellent. Also in the more rural areas here the private rent sector seems to be run by mostly decen people.
Then sometimes we have to renovate ex-student housing and a lot of times those buildings are absolute dumps (to the point where you can barely call them habitable) with insane prices. Especially in the large cities I see some really bad practise. Thankfully a lot of those malicious kind of landlords are put on trial (hence why we start renovating after they sold the property).
Disclaimer: I don't live in the US and tenants have a lot of rights here to the point where landlords are forced to provide a certain standard of living. Unfortunately (foreign) students seem to not know this, this is the reason you mostly see malpractice with students here.
Since most governments are filled with people who have way more money than they can spend in a lifetime probably never.
I will never understand why people who live in poverty or barely get by look at some rich CEO/billionaire whatever moneybags person go "yeah this person will probably understand my hardships and make it right, let's make him governor or president".
A lot of politicians are completely out of touch and as long as they're doing well everyone must be doing well (or they simply don't care).
I agree too. The fact is that our planet is simply fucked if we keep this ever urge for growth. It's not sustainable and the cracks are clearly showing.
People don't want to hear it but we should have a max 1 child limit per couple for at least some years or encourage people not to have children at all. Then when we've reached a healthy sustainable population have a 2 children max limit.
Less people = less consumption= less pollution.
Rome. I was so sad when they cancelled it.
