Data privacy is a concern of mine.

Car makers see technology as a data mining opportunity to force us to use their shitty infotainment systems to track our every move and interest, and then milk us with subscriptions.

The article is not conclusive. There are always going to be outliers in a case by case basis.

From the same article:

“Still, after decades of treating, showing, and judging countless breeds, AKC’s chief veterinary officer, Jerry Klein, disputes the study’s conclusions. “I think most dogs conform to the personality standard of their breed,” he says.”

I use a Merkur safety razor, but most often I use a commercial shaving cream like Gillette as I don’t have the time it takes to break out my brush etc.

I look at it as I get the benefit of cheap, close shaves, without the longer process of using my brush to lather up. Maybe if I had a nice badger brush I’d feel differently.

As for the blades - Astra are a good general purpose blade I like. Feathers, as someone else mentioned, are wicked sharp, and require extra care.

Moving from cartridge expect to take some time to get the technique down. You can’t go as fast.

Enjoy!

I am not apologizing for the horrific abuses the church caused and covered up.

I was raised Catholic but no longer attend. Largely in part to these horrible abuses that were covered up. I lost faith in the institution.

Perhaps our difference is in what we view as “the church”. I see it as more than the institution and the terrible leaders it has had and still does. The many people who attend and follow that faith also constitute what many would define as the church.

By your comment you are clearly an atheist which is fine. But you are wrong when you say the church, i.e. all the people that follow that faith, exist to harm children. That is offensive.

What the leadership of the Catholic Church has covered up for decades is unforgivable. Those in power that committed and/or covered up those terrible crimes should face the consequences.

But it is unfair and incorrect to say the purpose of the church is to cause harm to children. That does a disservice to the many good people of that faith who are doing good for others and their communities.

If someone at a US consulate/embassy told you not to worry about the selective service because of your age, it’s probably fine.

Good luck sorting out your tax situation. My kids are dual US and Canada and haven’t had to pay any US taxes yet as there is a tax treaty between the two countries. It has been expensive for me to pay someone to file the US taxes though.

One other point, assuming you are male, you were supposed to register for the US Selective Service at the age of 18. There are potential serious consequences for not doing so.

You can contact them and explain your case. Or maybe you don’t need to now as you are past age 25. They are easy to contact and speak with.

Source - same situation with family member

I know people in Canada who have gotten letters from their ISP via torrenting.

I didn’t know that part. Even worse.
