Can't say I've ever seen that before!

Anecdotal but me and my partner have been together 10 years and still don't see any benefit to getting married, despite strong family pressure to do so.
Mainly because it's too dang expensive. Like we just have $10k lying around were dying to blow, we barely have enough money to cover basic expenses.

Same you have something going on man, I have the same specs as you (3080, 5800x) but I'm getting stable 144fps at 1440p 80-90% gpu usage.

It was store bought fresh pasta.
The sauce was sun gold cherry tomatoes from my garden.

  1. In a pot fry some crushed garlic in olive oil a bit then dump in the tomatoes with a big pinch of salt
  2. Simmer until flesh has completely broken down
  3. Press through chinois to remove skins
  4. Return strained sauce to pot and reduce until sauce loosely coats the back of a spoon, set aside
  5. Prepare pasta as normal less 1 minute, then drain but not fully, retaining some of the cooking water
  6. Return pot with pasta and a bit of pasta water to heat and add tomato sauce
  7. Cook, reducing until sauce has thickened, leaving a clear streak on the bottom of the pot when scraped through with a spatula
  8. Remove from heat, stir in minced parsley, and mount with a good helping of butter
  9. Fry capers in a small pot with just enough olive oil to cover, just until they are crispy but not browned
  10. Add a roughly equal amount of panko or breadcrumbs to oil and continue to fry until lightly toasted
  11. Strain caper and breadcrumb mixture to remove it from the oil, then dump on a paper town lined plate or small sheetpan to soak up excess oil
  12. Pour pasta onto plate and sprinkle with the fried capers and breadcrumbs. Optionally also adding black pepper and grated parmesan.

Or something like that, I didn't measure anything :)

I put off watching the critical drinkers video on it until I went to go see it myself. Actually enjoyed the movie quite a bit, was able to understand the hyper feminist tones were obviously very intentionally ironic. Then you go watch this guy's review and its all lost on him.

An 18650 is way bigger than a AA

Every article or thread I read comparing kbin vs lemmy, kbin always comes out on top and yet lemmy has way more users and I just can't figure out why.

Wish I could contribute but I'm on kbin

I gotta be honest if you don't have the ability to chop onions or garlic you might as well just buy pre-made sauce my man.

Much better, I almost don't even see the balding man anymore :)

Aparently (for rif anyways) it's because when you're logged out it doesn't use the oauth credentials. See response from the dev here https://www.theverge.com/2023/7/1/23781408/if-rif-is-still-working-for-you-when-youre-logged-out-heres-why

Why does rif still work for me? Anyone know what's going on? I got the 429 this morning but now it's working exactly as before.
