This is the only good answer. No need to distract yourself by figuring out your speed and guesstimating your gap like others are saying. Just count the seconds whenever you need to

Yeah, I guess you're right. I appreciate the calm rundown, all discussion of this topic seems to be filled with hate and anger.

I'm not immune to emotion either, but for me it just saddens me when I see owners of genuinely well trained bullies, like the channel i linked earlier, get penalised and judged in the streets. I keep thinking theres got to be a better way but as you said, changing of law will take forever.

They are definitely far more of a responsibility than property, the fact that alot of people dont understand that is mind boggling. They're living creatures that are dependant on you for their food and mental well being.

I really hope the well trained dogs affected by this can run the course of their lives in peace without abuse on the streets.

Murder was the wrong word. Im not talking about people im talking about the breeds. Wishing for an entire breed of dog to be destroyed when their "aggression" is a result of our selective breeding and is something that can absolutely be trained out of them.

Thats why i said licenses need to come back and breeds like that should legally require training, but our government is incompetent so they're taking the easy way out.

So many other dogs are violent and vicious, ive been attacked by smaller dogs way more than i have staffies or bullies. Its just these bigger ones that get the hate because theyre stronger.

Poor girl, couldve been prevented if our governments put proper laws in place requiring dog owners to be licensed, and breeds like this to be trained. Just gonna leave this channel here for anyone that wants to know more about bullies in the uk. (Ik this was in ireland but we have very similar laws)

The calls for murder in these comments is disturbing

From my understanding recall stored the screenshots it took unencrypted. Atleast encrypt the bloody data before releasing it to anyone outside of ms

I am using the Stremio flatpak for linux. A friend of mine uses the windows version and he says he also experienced the same.

For me, the guest login option only appeared on first boot. When i came back to it the next day it was gone and i had to use a fake email to signup :/

I changed my review to positive and realised i got played , its back to negative now and will stay that way until the 3rd party requirement notice on steam is gone and all the countries are unblocked. The people who refuse to admit they got duped are just coping like hell. I for one believe

WE DIVE TOGETHER, OR NOT AT ALL!

Thats cool but how long did it take to download the game? It mustve taken hours right? What were your router settings, 1 hop for speed or 3 for anonymity?

Title says it all. I changed my btrfs subvol names so I could use timeshift to manage my snapshots, after regenerating the initramfs and editing grub to point to the new subvol names all was fine however after I got a kernel upgrade recently, the latest grub entry for the kernel specifies the old subvol name, resulting in a failed boot. I dont know grub well enough to know what options to add to /etc/default/grub, or even if thats where I need to add it. After editing the entry manually it boots perfectly fine so theres my question. Is there a grub config option to specify the name for a subvolume to boot? I'd rather not manually edit grub.cfg every time theres a kernel update lol.

I recently passed my driving test and I need a music app that plays local files and can be controlled by google assistant for handsfree. I've been using AIMP for ages and its worked great but I can't specify any songs or playlists via the assistant, I can only tell it to "play music on AIMP" and it plays whatever I was playing before. I would much prefer a FOSS app to do this but if there isnt one available that works with the assistant then it doesent have to be FOSS. If I can't find an app that suits my needs spotify would probably be my only option but I've got a large library of music already downloaded and i'd much rather not pay for premium just for the ability to play my local files lol.

Is there any easy way to switch to your home instance directly from a post to allow you to comment? I currently use "instance assistant for lemmy" but that only allows me to view the community from my own instance.

Sometimes I like browsing other instances and only their communities and the only way I can figure out how is to visit that instances link directly, however when I want to comment my current workflow is to copy paste the post url into my instances search and view it that way. Is there any addon that does what instance assistant does but also works for posts?

Is there a way to view another instances local communities without going to the website? It would be much more convenient than going to that sites community page and copying the link to your own instance.
