In the name sure. In the party even are some left leaning politicians. But the body of it and our Bundeskanzler, are more centrist than left. The upholding of the status quo is more important for them than improving social situations and tackling leftist points like wealth inequality, so I personally wouldn't call them left leaning

But the population and therefore our government which get voted from them is more conservative. And that's not even calculating the swing to the right. And the established far right networks our executive like police, military and intelligent services doesn't give a picture of a left leaning country. Germany had a good foundation, I give you that, but we have now decades of conservative governments who slowly undermined it.

So maybe left leaning if you compare it to an absolute monarchy, but if you differentiate and look closer, Germany is far from an left leaning country.

It sounds more like your perception of Germany is a little displaced from reality.

But I think what they mean is that the 90% are more affected by it, because proportional it's a bigger chunk of their income missing.

Nachgeahmt was die Amis schon lange vormachen. Die gleichen Kniffe nur mit en bisschen lokalen geschwurbel gewürzt. Das macht echt Sorgen für die politische Zukunft in Deutschland. Da hilft auch kein Finger zeigen mehr und sagen in Amerika ist es schlimmer, wir haben jetzt Verantwortung dafür zu sorgen um das zu bremsen. Aber hab da um ehrlich zu sein keine Ahnung mit welchen Mittel das zu bewältigen ist. So ein appel ist nett gemeint, aber ich schätze das fällt bei den angesprochenen auf taube Ohren.

Das erklärt vll. ein Teil von den Wählern. Aber erklärt nicht warum speziell gegen Grüne und Minderheiten Stimmung gemacht wird. Wenn man zwischen den Zeilen liest merkt man schnell das da sich noch andere Faktoren mit rein spielen, wo sie nicht so schnell bereit sind laut auszusprechen. Die AFD wird auch nichts an den Problemen ändern, aber die geben ein einfaches Ziel für ihren Unmut.

Die leben einfach in einer gefühlten Realität, gefüttert von Angst und Hass. Dann noch jede Lüge von Springer Presse und Co mitgenommen wo ins Weltbild passt.

Die erreicht man auch nicht mehr durch Politik, es gibt ja in ihren Augen schon klare Schuldige an ihren Problemen. Das sich an den echten Problemen nichts ändert wenn die AFD an der Macht wäre ist egal, bis dahin gibt es dann neue schuldige für ihre Probleme.
