I do a lot of training for our new hire data analysts. My favorite lesson is explaining to them how this applies in the tools we use. You can get a feel for how someone's brain works by their reaction. Horror, wonder, or pop...always fun.

I did. It was truly unfortunate. After working in healthcare for a decade I thought i had seen all possible shit takes...I was wrong lol.

You literally say it in your own reply. "Sometimes medically necessary". If you think nearly everything isn't classified as that by a company who makes more money the more healthcare they don't cover I don't know what anyone can say to you to bring you back to the reality of US healthcare. They hire unemployable doctors with histories of malpractice to deny claims in bulk.

Honestly, you're too young to be burning yourself up on someone who, by your own words, doesn't think your feelings matter. Expecting you to walk on eggshells for her feelings while while teasing you about yours is manipulation, and that's just red flag one. You're bullet list isn't conflicts, it's abuse and manipulation.

I've been right where you're at man. It DOES get better, it just probably not with her. She is not your responsibility. YOU are your responsibility right now. You're 23, your life is just getting started. Make a fresh start and give yourself some time to work on yourself and heal. It's advice I wish someone would have given me.

Makes sense. Was the room correction really noticeable? Or even helpful? I keep finding mixed reviews ranging from it'll only screw it up and I need to go back to school for and audio engineer degree to do it myself, or it's the best ever, or DIRAC is the only worthwhile option because it's not for poors.

Budget is roughly $500 to around $1200. It's pretty flexible if there's a really good reason. I'm also saving budget for speakers but that's a whole other thing.

TV is a 77inch LG G2. Multi room audio with Siriusxm is the biggest additional feature besides handling anything the TV can.

Oh wise home theater nerds, lend my your advice...

Plz. All I got is a sound bar right now lol.

Hey all, Moving and looking to get a little bit in to home theater. I've been going back and forth between the Denon AVR-1700h, the Yamaha RX-v6a. Are there other options I should be looking at?

I'd like it to be able to handle whole home audio. The SiriusXM on either of those is a big selling point for my wife. From what I've read the Denon is the more forum recommended, mostly because of Yamaha's poor handling of a hardware fault, but those are mostly cleared up now. I like all the features of the Denon, but the Yamaha looks better and my lazy side likes the option for wireless surround eventually.

I keep looking at higher end systems but I'd need a really good reason to jump up with the price that comes with it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

100% agree. I've been shocked at what seems like extreme naivety or willful ignorance in some of the discussions on federating with corps. Corps only want profit. People are the product at meta. They just want more product.

There's either a streak of loud and stupid that started up when the NDAs came to light or some of these "Facebook would never do anything bad" people are suspicious af.

On Android, you can download the Pulse Point app and select Allegheny County EMS to see emergencies in the county. Ive mostly used it to see why my powers out, again, but you can see a lot more.

Because it is literally in the playbook.

I don't see how you can reconcile Facebook is both "hugely destructive" but their algorithm "isn't as damaging"? Like...what?

Just betting on FACEBOOK to do the right thing is laughable. Sorry if that's harsh but damn man, where have you been the last...decade?

Thanks! I did connect the instances when I was testing out HA, mostly just to see what it looked like. I didn't get to any automation though.

For the IOT wifi, do you mean just a "high powered" wifi network, or did you do a different access point for the IOT devices?

Awesome. Thank you! I was considering the tablet solution for areas like the living room. Appreciate all the advice!

I actually have a little habitat network going as well and IMO, ST looks better but runs worse, and Habitat looks worse and runs better lol. Looking forward to getting it all on HA.

Hi everyone. I know there on tons of posts on the old sites threads about the mechanics of swapping from smart things to HA. Just wondering if you all have any advice on other things that might come up?

I'm about to move in to a new house. I have an instance of HA working on a little pc. I have tons of smart bulbs connected to ST, hue and others. My wife is an angel, so I probably have a good amount of time to get this right, but I also want her happy lol.

Anything I should look out for? Any personal nightmares of making your own swap? Thanks
