Socialism means collective ownership of the means of production. The issue with the Soviet Union was that all means of production were controlled by the state. However there was no way in which the people controlled the state, since at least 1936 and argueably earlier then that.

UniCredit daughter Hypovereinsbank is already the 7th largest bank in Germany and about half the size of Commerzbank. If you exclude government owned banks Hypovereinsbank would be number 5 and Commerzbank 2 largest in Germany by assests. Deutsche Bank would be larger but only slightly. However Deutsche is already too big too fail, as is Unicredit.

This is just a bad idea all around.

There is a hard cut off in 2035 and emission laws pretty much force a share of EVs. Starting next year that will be about 37%.

However a lot can make a car better, which has nothing to do with the drive train. Old car makers certainly can play that game.

I love that. Makes sure car sales in the EU stay low.

Israel did control a part of Lebanon for a bit.

Sanctions are not a blockade. Sanctions would be the Houthis stopping all of their own trade with Israel for example. The Houthis blockading Israel mesns they try to stop everybody from trading with Israel by force. Hence a blockade is an act of war.

And no I do not believe somebody being vegan is an act of war.

WTF is going on with "innocent until proven guilty". She just got charged and not convicted after all. Her former boss really should pay compensation for lost income.

PHEVs are below 50miles of offical electric range. In the real world it is lower. So nowhere close to 80 miles.

So you have a choice, fill up your car in a gas station on a regular bases or wait a bit longer when you charge up on a longer road trip.

Obviously ideal would be hsr for longer trips, but well.

Most Americans do not live in a trailer, which they need to tow for 90miles on a regular bases. In fact most probably have never towed anything.

20min charging after 3h drive is totally fine. There are people who actually like to take a break from driving, take a piss and eat something decent when on the road.

The reailty is that most Americans stay within EV range for months, only going to work, shopping and local social stuff. That means no gas station for months.
