Sorry to hear that Spud. That must suck, especially with a parent.

Hmm I feel like I haven't exhausted all of my options yet though. I shall try with the nature videos and hopefully that will do something. I just wish she was open to seeing a counsellor or something. She never got counselling or had someone to talk to about her divorce after it happened.

Thanks for the suggestion Seagoon :) I sent her some time lapses of plants growing. Hopefully she will like them.

Probably an overshare, but I'm angryMy grandma is too far gone with the religion and political stuff, and I think it's time for me to stonewall her. She lives next door, which will make it a bit hard, but I don't want to put up with her bullshit anymore. During COVID, she got so into religion that she tells us we're going to hell for not believing. All day, everyday, she sits on her butt, watching YouTube videos about religion and people converting to her religion. She has not many friends, only goes to church and the supermarket, likes my aunt's dogs more than she likes her own grandchildren and refuses to put in any effort with my younger cousins because their mother chose to keep in contact with her cheating father after my grandma and him got divorced. She doesn't believe the priests or other clergy members could do anything wrong. Called Kamala a demon and said that she would make the US a communist country. And America will be saved, Trump is Christian yada yada yada. Absolutely no critical thinking skills whatsoever.

So I put in a request to cancel my group fitness membership after the next billing. Will check out the local council gym and also another one to try and get my mum to come along.

Yep, they offer the standard sort of gym classes.

That's the part I don't want to give up. Being in a group setting is motivating.

I will look into this :)

18 bucks a week, that's really cheap for reformer pilates too!

I'm undecided on whether or not I should cancel my gym membership and switch to the council instead. The gym I'm currently at is a group fitness gym which is a highly motivating and supportive environment, and great for making sure I see people considering I don't really have a third space besides school and work. However, I miss going to a gym with machines and the council one has a pool. Plus it's cheaper. Only the social aspect missing. I think it's a case of loss aversion here.

I should add that I'm not using it as often as I like to get value out of it.

Thank you!! I did a very stupid thing and thought I was doing an exam for the other subject. But I didn't know absolutely nothing. Hoping I passed, even though this subject is going to drag my WAM down!
