I tend to listen to instrumental playlists. Video game soundtracks are really good for this because they aren’t meant to be distracting, and they keep you focused. Nothing with defined vocals/words.
I finished Fallout New Vegas but never really enjoyed my time with it. Was a boring open world with emotionless NPCs and a forgettable storyline. Tried Fallout 76 recently and it was still the same type of thing. I played the hell out of Skyrim though and loved it the whole time. Maybe I just don’t like an apocalyptic open world? People always seem to love Fallout but it’s just not for me.

Not that it’s old but I have been playing God of War 2018 on my Steam Deck and it’s been an absolute pleasure. The visuals are still amazing and the game runs really well. Get it during a Steam sale to save some cash.

Brandon Sanderson’s Mist Born series. Would be a perfect fit. Read the books if you havent already. One of the most beautiful endings I’ve ever read.
