That definitely happens with the Windows 11 update screen my wife keeps getting on her laptop. When the device boots, it appears to have already started the installation, but it's just a fullscreen advertisement to install Windows 11.

Nintendo had a feature like this implemented in the 3DS called StreetPass. When you passed someone else with a 3DS it would share some information (like game data) that you could later review.

I believe the real issue with Doom3 is rending more frames than 60 (per second). It results in game breaking bugs.

For anyone looking for a modern Doom 3 experience, use "dhewm3".

People realising apps are just websites in wrappers.
