They don't show up probably because that instance is so new nobody subbed to that community yet, hence the reason it can't find it.

Country, I live in The Netherlands so I searched for a Dutch hosted instance with Dutch owner.

I just blow the wasp away when it comes to close. Though the most important advice is to stay calm, people always freak-out and thát will get you stung.

Mostly active on my own instance (Feddit.nl) with posts and comments.

After opening the post you need to click again (you will see the 🔍 and ✖️ top right). Then you should be able to hold and save (popup). Tested it on Safari and Chrome.

I checked, you need to open the post, then click on the image and then you can hold to save. It would be nice to hold and save from the feed.

More cities should follow and push people to use transferiums.

Sad? Yes and no if you ask me. Sure, it is a shame that 3th party apps got killed and people are leaving Reddit. On the other hand, people join Lemmy and 3th party apps can switch to a new platform if they want to. The only loser is Reddit.

Very unlikely but not impossible. Always check the comments when downloading torrents to make sure they are legit.
