If we are to believe Biden at his word that Trump will attempt a fascist coup regardless of election results, why is he spending his time banning tik tok instead of truth social?

I don't know why you are characterizing this as a republican blunder. It makes perfect sense.

The Republicans know the Democrats' obsession with civility means a dem would never invoke this prospective right to assassinate a political rival.

"But the Republicans are being illogical! This is a double standard! There is no intellectual honesty in such an argument!"

Stop trying to appeal to logic and honesty when it comes to Republicans. This liberal thinking is what got Trump elected the first time.

Accept that morals, ethics, and logic mean nothing to fascists before it is too late.

I swear, the patriot front could be doing door-to-door curb stomps once trump gets elected, and liberals would still be smugly pointing out that "violence is no way to solve political issues, chud. Check and mate ;)", right before they get curb stomped.

You mean like when they were claiming that the entire world was going to have Houthis begging for a timeout during the Red Sea crisis?

"Houthis about to learn why we don't have free Healthcare hur dur"

Pretty bold of you to bring up Roe V Wade as an example of why we need more democrats. Roe V Wade was one of the best examples of democrats effortlessly orienting liberals with the democratic party by sitting on their hands for years as the threat of having abortion rights taken away become more and more clear. The democrats could have codified it, but they didn't because they knew that abortion rights were one of their main avenues to muster up enthusiasm and support for their party. By letting Roe V Wade get eviscerated, the democrats secured support from oblivious liberals for years to come.

"Vote for us, or you'll lose abortion rights! (as the democrats do jack shit to protect the right)". The democrats would rather lose than shift left, and that revelation becomes terrifying when the issue comes down to genocide.

The same is true for Trump. The man that liberals get into such a tizzy about was literally propped up by the democrats in order to orient liberals and centrists with the democratic party. By propping up Trump, democrats have coerced liberals into writing a blank check and offering blind support to whoever isn't the republican. And now we've seen the logical conclusion of this strategy: liberals supporting genocide since at least genocide isn't as bad as orange man.

So if a Trump presidency means the end of democracy in America, why hasn't Trump been outlawed?

Why is Biden focusing on banning TikTok instead of truth social? Why weren't the courts getting stacked 2 years ago? Why are the democrats' obsession with "precedent" and "civility" taking more primacy than outlawing a candidate who, by their own admission, would mean the end of democracy?

By propping up Trump, the democrats have effortlessly oriented you such that you now give blind support to a genocidal regime. You've given the democrats a blank check. The democrats would rather lose to Trump and usher in fascism than shift left in the slightest way (halting genocide).

Also, epic reddit catchphrase my good sir. I tip my hat you, for you are a gentleman and a scholar.

"because you need to pressure and criticize Biden without actually making him lose"

"We need to be toothless about our criticism of Biden" FTFY

The threat of making your candidate lose is the only power you have to shift them.

Next time you're negotiating for a car, see how much the seller budges after you preceed negotiations with "Now, I am fully committed and happy paying sticker price, but how much can you lower the price?"

Edit: at least have the intellectual honesty to say out loud that Biden could do anything, and you'd still vote for him
