When I played WoW, there were several guys in my guild who played female characters. They were all the most misogynistic gamer chuds I've ever met, who routinely objectified not only their own character but also the IRL cis women who played the game. On that note: almost every IRL cis woman I knew played male characters to avoid the attention from said gamer chuds.

I do get that some people use this as an avenue of gender exploration and maybe some of the people I met were so deep in denial that they hid behind toxic masculinity, but I think most of it was actually just toxic masculinity.

It's like the trolley problem but the person pulls the lever to kill as many people as possible to "send a message" to whoever is tying up people on trolley tracks.

Yes, that is unfortunately the measure capitalism uses to judge success. Something something invisible hand I guess.

Encrypted data. Could be backups of important service details in case all their servers are seized, leaked or sensitive data they are holding as leverage, or a private porn collection. Nobody knows until they release a decryption key.

It's actually worse than than because winning the election has been a big windfall for Elmo to the tune of $70 billion: https://www.cnbc.com/2024/11/11/elon-musk-is-70-billion-richer-since-trump-victory-due-to-tesla-surge.html

It's more like he got a 34,900% return on investment. If you include the $44 billion he "spent" on Twitter that brings the ROI down to a still impressive 58%, outperforming pretty much any market or fund.

They really are good businessmen, but the foxes are now in control of the hen house. Good luck everyone else!

Yeah I suppose World War 2 wouldn't have happened if everyone just sat back and let Germany conquer all of Europe instead. They would have stopped at that right? 🤷

This is 100% because they are also going to try and ban abortion. They only want "the right people" being forced into making new US ~~wage slave consumers~~ citizens.

As a Canadian who sees the far-right politics of the USA leaking across the border, I actually think this would be a good idea. The US can have Alberta though, I think they would be happier there.

It's convenient timing that Google Chrome is removing support for ad blocking plugins like uBlock right as Premium sneaks ads back in... 🙄

I find fibre powder works well, drink a glass with or after your meals. It adds mass to your stomach so you feel more full and slows down digestion so the calories and nutrients in your food last longer.

See there's this thing called retaliatory tariffs...

They won't be surprised, they'll just remain angry because they'll be given new scapegoats to blame by the propaganda machine.
