Recirculating pumps dont have to run constantly. Usually they are on a timer for when you most often need hot water, and the pumps arent that power hungry. For a couple hundred bucks a typical house can have one installed.

Just moved in with my girl. 3 + 2 =5 cats! Its...a bit much. I think 2 or three is the sweet spot. But they're all indoor only which adds to the chaos. Maybe a giant catio, and only certain ones were allowed inside? 🤔
I thi k the US should follow other countries' lead and just stop minting the penny. It's basically a subsidie anyway.
