Not as efficient as others in bits per second, but interestingly the syllable-to-bits ratio is tightly coupled.

The French/English/German curves are interesting, given the relationships between them.

I wonder if this implies English has more in common with French than German.

Or how the German and Italian curves are so similar, does that reflect a similarity in language or in how it's used (cultural)?

Interesting thought.

I'd add it's probably also that 90%+ of conversation isn't about "data transfer" in the technical sense, but relationship building. So information volume isn't usually crucial.

Now let's see this work done in technical fields, especially change management, maintenance, emergency services, etc, where time is crucial. Those environments tend to have very "coded" language, so we don't have to say a paragraph whenever we call for a very specific function/tool/action.

I suspect the languages would still have similar curves, but the data rates would increase.

Well, when your second-rate crap is as much as anywhere else, why would I buy yours?

Many machines have vertical connectors, if the machine is turned for any reason. Or you're using the on-board card, etc.

Hahaha, I can't disagree, even as a heathen.

As others have said, depends on how permanent something is

Diabetes (Type I) is a bitch, because diet can only manage it somewhat. And there's 2 subtypes there, with all sorts of biochem happening. Plus hormones are a crazy interwoven system.

Type II now, yes, there's near-zero reason to not have control of it, as it's nearly all diet induced. And something like 90%+ of all diabetes in the US is Type II today. I knew no one as a kid who had diabetes (though it later appeared in my family).

I'd think smooth display could be it. Sounds similar to the Lineage setting.

Check for a touch sensitivity setting. Maybe your phone needs the option to increase turned on.

Have you checked with Graphene forums/chats (I forget where they have rooms, XMPP maybe?).

Tip 1 - have parents who are on the same board as the CEO of IBM, and work out a plan to have Bill be the point man for acquiring an existing OS for a pittance, because if IBM tried to buy DOS86, it would've cost a fortune.

Happiness is fleeting, like other emotions, it comes and goes. Focusing on it is like chasing a wave.

Understanding your own values and what you find meaningful is essential for moving through life, because we're not in control. Stuff happens, and we get to deal with it.

Quite often double click on the close button will kill a hung app on Windows. Not Al the time, maybe 70%.
