I think you just got to wait bud. Technology isn't quite there yet. A lot of companies have tried and there's advancements in that. Speakers hidden under screens cameras hidden under screens. With very thin bezels all the way around and just a screen almost. But the technology is just not quite there yet in my opinion. There are options though out there currently if thats what you want.
Also your pixel is kinda the last most infamous big bezels pixel. I dont know if you've looked at the updates but they are definitely way less offensive with the bezels. I have a 5a and i almost never notice the hole punch anymore and the bezels are very consistent all around.
I do not believe Lemmy internally handles things like gif or videos or photo album posts currently. To do that is best to just use a third party service and post the link to it. I'm sure other lemmings can point you to good services for this.
You mean liake top and bottom bezels being different sizes?
Its due to tons of reasons but usually its driven by what is in the phone and where it is placed.

Wtf is there a reddit like banner at the bottom? Is this really a thing we gonna do? There is barely such thing as orginal content these days. when it comes to memes and "ownership" it is a ridiculous concept Considering there is nothing to "profit" off of. Karma on Reddit was meaningless and it doesn't even exist here.
And the last point that is maybe valid is it brings attention to the specific community and lemmy. But i can promise you ppl will be more interested organically than they ever will be by an eyesore of a banner. Shit just linking to the original post is better for getting someone to the site and potentially getting them to sign up.
And the banner just straight up on the post. Shit is stupid and i hope i dont see it more places on lemmy.
When privacy badger breaks something i just turn it off for that site if i HAVE to use it. Otherwise i find another site.

The lack of picture downloading got me fucked up lol. I'm interested to see jerbora development and liftoff. Will almost certainly jump ship to sync if its anywhere near the quality of the reddit version
