Using rufus it's pretty easy to install windows 11 without meeting their bullshit requirements.

Did that for my work laptop, which is getting old but runs just fine. Including windows 11.

Plenty of reasons to switch to Linux, but this can be circumvented. And anyone who doesn't know how to, because it is too complicated shouldn't really switch to Linux anyway IMO, because they will already run into trouble with finding compatible printers, getting software for proprietary hardware they are using, etc.

I got my stuff from priwatt. They got most types of solutions. Possibly a bit more expensive than elsewhere, but they handle a lot of the paperwork as well.

Means a meter that records input as well as output and no, Germany so far does not have anything in place where regular folk get paid for what they input.

But as I said, everything I generate goes directly into my own consumption, so I don't mind much.

I got a tiny one on my balcony last year. With WFH it doesn't put anything through to the grid but already lowered our consumption by 1/10, which is pretty amazing. Plugs into a regular socket. Power provider exchanged the meter to be able to handle it for free, and everything else was also very smooth. I am very happy with it and would put up more, if I had the space.

I really like the genre, I am mostly sad it's mainly very short ones with a single season. Would love something longer again like SAO. But I also don't watch a lot to begin with

The US Gamestop is selling PC parts. They started in 2021 or 2022.

How have they no means to fix their business model by cutting back on what does not work? Like.. are they supposed to just keep burning money year after year on the same direction that is the cause of burning money in hopes of something magically changing about it?

That would be the sunk cost fallacy, no? If anything they now have a chance to direct their attention to getting new revenue streams because they stopped the bleeding. They got no debt except some remnant of a 0% loan by the French government. Not sure what will whittle away at them?

I do not like their current business model and do think they need to adapt, but for the first time since 2018 they even have the financial situation to try.

I mean, they're profitable for the first time since 2018. Not least thanks to a huge amount of cost cutting the past two or three years. This is more of that.

It'll be rolled back when they realize engagement drops.

Those are great news. Hope your recovery goes well and that you find some solid people to help with the maintenance in terms of moderation. kbin really is my favorite instance of this all, but needs some love.

3 Abrams is correct, 8 Bradleys sounds about right, but I didn't hear anything about HIMARS. It is odd that they're not bragging about the Ukraine confirmed loss of a Patriot system (albeit not the radar but two launchers). I mean, that's what they've been claiming forever. Maybe because they said they destroyed all of them already and can't now claim destroying any actually?

Fucking weirdos. Still, compared to Russian losses in manpower and vehicles, this is nothing. For the numbers that Ukraine has, it's not insignificant for sure. The main thing and difference between Russian losses and Ukraine losses is that the crews often survive the loss of the vehicles on the Ukrainian side, whereas Russia loses both vehicle and crew.

Short-ish video on the most basic of basic concepts for mostly new players to grasp - if you got someone new to introduce to TTRPGs and want to give them a leg up in understanding how combat works tactically.

Today we will discuss positioning and combat basics in table top role playing games (ttrpgs) such as pathfinder, dungeons and dragons, tales of the valiant a...
